About this grant

STOP (Services, Training, Officers, and Prosecutors) Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) seeks applications to fund Services Training Officers and Prosecutors (STOP) Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program. An estimated $7.85 million will be made available to support approximately 120 projects. Funding caps will be imposed by program type to maximize support of local programs. The goal for STOP Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Formula Grants Program is to support communities in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies, to combat violent crimes against women, and to develop and strengthen services to victims of crime and survivors. Thanks to the DCJS partnership with, and the efforts of, the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, there will be no match requirement imposed on applicants receiving STOP awards through this solicitation. All applications must be submitted through the NYS Statewide Financial System (SFS) in accordance with the instructions outlined in the RFA.
